Fulfill Your Purpose

The Time Is Now: Stepping Away From A Life of Mediocrity, to the Life You’ve Always Dreamed Of

Can you envision the life you dream of? Maybe it’s not much different from the life you already have. All of your same loved ones, are right there with you. You may even live in the same city, same house and drive the same car. But there is one difference isn’t there. One that’s too big to ignore.

In your dream life, your full of life. Full of happiness, joy, and passion in a way you have never experienced before. But why is that? It’s because of that one big difference.

Living out our purpose, is something we are meant to do. It may feel at times like it’s not very important. When you look around at all of your responsibilities, you can easily weigh fulfilling your purpose against all of them, and logically determine, that what you are already doing is what’s important. Not chasing some dream.

You may even consider motherhood.

You might question, what could be more important than raising my beautiful children. How could anything make me happier than that?

I would be hard pressed to argue against any of that. But what I will say, is maybe it’s not about what’s more important or what makes you happier. Maybe it’s just about allowing every part of you, to fully live.

Your one big thing, is allowing every part of you, to fully live

A life free from mediocrity, and onto the path of the life you’ve always dreamed of, is a life where every part of you is fully alive.

But if you’re not doing the things your passionate about; or if you’re not using the gifts and talents that stretch you to new heights of growth and excitement, then a part of you, is missing out on the best of you.

And that is no way to live.

So how do we step off of the path of mediocrity, and onto the path of living the life we have always dreamed of?

We start with being intentional. Making a change in the course of your life rarely happens by accident. It often requires thought and action. You have to think about where it is you desire to go with your life, and then start taking the necessary steps towards that life, one step at a time. If you don’t know where to begin, I share some tips of how you can begin in one of my previous posts, Enlarge Your Circle  https://nolongerastayathomemom.com/2019/11/30/enlarge-your-circle/.

We make ourselves a priority. If you don’t become a priority in your own life, all the other important day to day responsibilities you have, will drown you out. In It’s Time for You to Do the Chasing https://nolongerastayathomemom.com/2019/11/23/its-time-for-you-to-do-the-chasing/, I talk about the importance of making space for yourself, your dreams, and your purpose. This is something you have to do on purpose. Otherwise, you’ll never have time, for your very own life.

We get a new vision for ourselves. Life can be very mundane and very repetitive at times. It’s easy to fall into the way of thinking, that how it is, is how it’ll always be. But that is not the truth. All it takes is small disciplined changes, and you can totally change the course of your life.

Small disciplined changes, can change the course of your life.

Believe that things can be different, implement small disciplined changes each day, and your vision will begin to take change too.

The life you’ve always dreamed of, is not out of your reach. But you will have to make the choice to reach for it. By implementing these three steps, you shorten the length between what currently is, and what you hope to be. Don’t ignore the one big difference any longer. You deserve to live the life, you have always dreamed of. Your time is now!

  1. Intentionality, priorities, and vision are all critical. My problem is that sometimes I just can’t see beyond the moment I am in, so mediocrity ends up being the order of the day. Every day is a new chance to change that, though!

  2. This is so inspirational.. I have lined up things i want to changes and things i want to implement.. My friend told me few days ago that the reason why haven’t move beyond where i am is that am too comfortable where i am at the moment and am beginning to see why he think so and am ready to make changes.. But am going to begin with the little ones.

  3. this post is timely! I find it’s important to put our (parents) lives priorities right up there with everyone else because our children learn more from our actions than our words. If we want our kids to be productive, self-sufficient, and hardworking then we too need to do it as well. Reach goals so our kids know how to reach theirs ; )
    nice topic!

    1. That’s so awesome…you should definitely do it now! I just started working on one this year too. Can you maybe wake up a little earlier to work on it? That’s what I’ve been doing. Or maybe stay up later. And start small. Committ to just 20 min a day to work on the book.

      1. I will start waking up earlier. I sleep at midnight. Cant stay up lqter than that. I have anxiety insomnia. But yeah i could totally wake up a bit earlier and work 20 minutes a day on writing. Thanks for the encouragement 💕
