Fulfill Your Purpose

Enlarge Your Circle

One thing that’s for certain is, we are not without a lack of information in our world. And as you seek to pursue your goals and fulfill your purpose, this will work in your favor, in many ways; such as gaining knowledge and inspiration.

Once you know what your purpose is, it’s time to surround yourself with people who share your passion, and are already successful in that area. You may be thinking, I don’t know anyone who is successful in the area I desire to pursue. No worries, the good news is, you don’t have to know people personally, for them to become a part of your circle.

There are many ways you can enlarge your circle. Here are a few options:

Read a book. These days you can find a book written on just about anything. Experts in any given realm, usually like to take advantage of this avenue; to reach people and share their knowledge and their journey. Find books written on the subjects that align with your purpose, and gain some knowledge, insight, and inspiration. If you’re not a fan of reading, most books are usually offered in an audible format as well. And if you’d like the chance to “look over” some books, as you make a decision about which ones will benefit you the most, you can dust off your library card and borrow them, until you’re ready to purchase some.

Listen to a podcast. Podcasts are great; and so convenient. You can multitask and do some housework, cooking, breastfeeding, or numerous other tasks, while you listen to the podcast. There’s a plethora of topics available, so finding ones that pertain to your needs, should not be a problem. Oftentimes, the person doing the podcast will interview other individuals, who share in the same passion and knowledge as themselves, offering you a “two for one” experience.

Watch a YouTube video. I don’t know how it works in your household, but in mine, we go to YouTube to learn about almost anything. A household appliance has stopped working; learn how to fix it on YouTube. Want to learn how to do a cartwheel; look it up on YouTube. Need to gain information on a particular subject; YouTube is to the rescue. The number of videos to be found on YouTube are endless; no doubt you’ll find some useful ones. It’s a free resource, that should definitely be taken advantage of.

These are just a few ways that you can enlarge your circle, and bring in some knowledge and inspiration from individuals who have similar purposes. Because as Sonia Sotomayor said, “Remember that no one succeeds alone. Never walk alone in your future paths.” We all need someone, and that someone may be a person you never meet face-to-face, but they’ll have made an impact in your success, just the same.

  1. I am finding myself a work-from-home single mom after 28 years married. I have done all of these suggestions above and can attest that they are all great ideas though! And I have added meeting with a friend to work on our businesses without distraction (except each other, lol) once a week. Thank you for posting!

    1. I’m glad to hear these ideas have worked for you! They certainly have worked for me! I think it’s great that you and your friend meet up once a week to work on your businesses. I imagine you keep one another motivated and encouraged. I will definitely consider adding this to my mix!

    1. Yes, they’ve all proven very helpful in my life. As far as the podcast recommendations, it depends on what your interested in. I’m a Christian, so I lean heavily towards faith based podcasts that encourage and inspire me. I would do a google search with “podcasts for…..” and fill in the blank with whatever your interested in. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find something that works for you. Please let me know if I can be of anymore help.
